CSIR-NET (NTA) Photo & Signature Size
Joint CSIR-UGC NET covers the five science streams — Chemical, Earth Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary, Life, Mathematical and Physical Sciences — for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship. It is a different examination from UGC-NET with its own subject list, though NTA administers both. This bulletin gives photo 10-200 KB and signature 10-50 KB, JPG or JPEG, with no fixed pixel dimensions. The UGC-NET bulletin is not consistent with itself on the signature figure, so do not assume the two examinations share one number. The bulletin also spells the signature out more fully than the UGC-NET one does: running hand on white paper in blue or black ink, not block capitals.

Application-specific notes for CSIR-NET
- The bulletin treats a manipulated photograph as unfair means, not as a formatting error. Its wording is that if the photograph uploaded is found to be fabricated — de-shaped, or appearing hand-made or computer-made — the form is rejected and the candidate is dealt with under the unfair-means provisions. Resize and compress a real photograph; do not reconstruct one.
- The photograph you upload is also the one you paste on the attendance sheet at the centre, so print a copy of the same image rather than using a different sitting. The bulletin adds that the photograph need not be attested, so do not add an attestation step.
- Both files are JPG or JPEG: the photograph between 10 and 200 KB, the signature in running hand between 10 and 50 KB. Unclear photographs are listed as a rejection ground in their own right, separately from the size limits.
About this exam
The joint CSIR-UGC NET is conducted by NTA for eligibility in science and research fields; like UGC-NET, NTA specifies file size and format but no fixed pixel dimensions for the photo or signature.
CSIR-NET specifies how the signature is written
The joint CSIR-UGC NET record uses a 10–200 KB photograph and a 10–50 KB signature in JPG / JPEG. Its bulletin asks for a running-hand signature rather than capital letters, written in blue or black ink on white paper. No fixed pixel canvas is published for either file.
Use the joint CSIR-UGC NET application record
This preset is scoped to the NTA science and research eligibility examination. Do not select the general UGC-NET entry merely because the current file-size bands look the same: confirm the joint CSIR-UGC NET bulletin, keep the signature in running hand, and check the preview shown inside that application before submission.

Frequently asked questions
What is the photo size for the CSIR-NET (NTA) application?
The stored CSIR-NET (NTA) target is 10–200 KB, in JPG / JPEG format. This tool resizes and compresses a prepared photo to that target; confirm the active form before submitting.
What is the signature size for CSIR-NET (NTA)?
The stored signature target is 10–50 KB, in JPG / JPEG format. Follow the current notice's ink and paper instructions, then upload it here to clean and resize it.
How do I resize my photo to 10–200 KB for CSIR-NET (NTA)?
Upload your photo and the tool compresses it to the stored CSIR-NET (NTA) target without stretching or distorting it. Everything runs in your browser.
What should I check before submitting CSIR-NET (NTA) files?
Compare the exported photo with the stored 10–200 KB photo and 10–50 KB signature bands, recorded formats, then inspect the image for blur and low contrast. Inspect the signature separately for faint strokes and excess paper. Confirm every stored value against the active form; the tool cannot predict acceptance.
Is this CSIR-NET (NTA) resizer free and private?
Yes — free, no watermark, no sign-up, and your photo never leaves your device. All processing happens in your browser.
Where can I confirm the official CSIR-NET (NTA) requirements?
Always verify the current limits on the official source (Joint CSIR-UGC NET — Information Bulletin (NTA)) before submitting, as requirements can change between notification cycles.
