Application-specific notes for NIELIT CCC
- NIELIT publishes two deliberately transposed canvases: the photograph is 132 pixels wide by 170 high, while the signature or left-thumb impression is 170 wide by 132 high. Read width before height; using the portrait pair for the signature produces the wrong orientation.
- The photograph's 132:170 ratio is effectively the same shape as 3.5 x 4.5 cm, while the signature's 170:132 canvas follows its 4.5 x 3.5 cm landscape instruction. Crop to those shapes rather than stretching an existing square or banking-exam image.
- Both assets are JPEG or JPG, but their size and resolution bands differ. The photograph is 5 to 50 KB at 96 to 300 DPI; the signature is 5 to 20 KB at 96 to 200 DPI. Export and inspect them separately instead of reusing one compression setting.
- The signature or left-thumb impression is made in black or blue ink on white paper. Trim unused paper before compression so the 170 x 132 canvas preserves the marks rather than spending its limited area on an empty border.
