Application-specific notes for EPFO

• The signature band is much tighter than the photograph's — 4 to 30 KB against 10 to 200 KB. Start from a clean, tightly cropped signature on white paper so background texture does not consume the limited file-size budget.
• Both files upload as JPG or JPEG. Prepare the signature independently because its 4 to 30 KB band is tighter, and inspect whether every stroke remains legible in the exported file.
• The signature window spans 26 KB, while the photograph window spans 190 KB. Do not reuse the photograph's export settings: configure and inspect the signature independently inside its 4 to 30 KB band.
• The photograph instruction asks for approximately 80 percent face coverage on a plain light-shade background and no spectacles. Those composition fields are independent of the generous 10 to 200 KB range; inspect the crop and face visibility before optimising bytes.
• This preset is historical and scoped to the 2023 Social Security Assistant advertisement conducted by NTA. It is not evidence for another EPFO post or a new recruitment cycle, so compare every field with the current EPFO or conducting-body notice before reuse.
• No fixed photograph or signature pixel canvas is recorded from the advertisement. Preserve the portrait and handwriting proportions instead of forcing a 200 x 230 banking template simply because the byte bands appear in an online recruitment workflow.
