Application-specific notes for LIC

• LIC asks for four scanned images: photograph at 4.5cm x 3.5cm, signature in black ink, a left thumb impression on white paper in black or blue ink, and a HAND-WRITTEN DECLARATION whose text the notice supplies for you to copy out. The declaration must be written by hand on white paper in black or blue ink — typing it is not the same thing.
• Your photograph and IRIS are captured at the examination venue and the captured photo is matched against what you submitted, so the uploaded image needs to be a current likeness rather than the best one you own.
• A live photograph is taken through a webcam or phone during registration as well. Preparing a file does not remove that step.
• The linked source is the AAO Specialist 2025 notification. Its 200 x 230 photograph, 140 x 60 signature and four-document scanning instructions should not be projected onto ADO recruitment or a later AAO cycle without checking that cycle's notice.
• At 20 to 50 KB the photograph has a 30 KB window, while the 10 to 20 KB signature has only 10 KB. Prepare the black-ink signature from a tight crop of its own sheet; using the photograph's export settings ignores both the different geometry and narrower band.
• The prepared photograph and the registration-time live image are two separate inputs named by the notification. Keep a clean original of the uploaded image, but complete the webcam or phone capture inside the LIC registration flow when prompted.
• The thumb impression and declaration are not handled by this photo-and-signature resizer. Prepare them from the notification's own instructions and do not force either document into the 140 x 60 signature canvas merely because all four scans appear in one registration sequence.
