• The linked NIC Uttar Pradesh article confirms the application-management system, not an image specification. It contains no support for the displayed 50 to 100 KB photograph, 20 to 50 KB signature or their 3.5:4.5 and 3.5:1.5 compatibility shapes.
• The former guideline URL no longer resolves, so an archived value cannot be represented as a current first-party rule. Use the active recruitment form to confirm upload versus capture, encoded formats, both byte boundaries and any geometry before preparing either asset.
• The compatibility photograph and signature have different orientations and bands. If the current form confirms them, crop the portrait and handwriting independently; if it does not, discard the defaults rather than forcing the current files into an inherited template.
• UPSSSC applications can draw profile information into a post-specific recruitment. Inspect the actual field shown in the cycle you are submitting, including any preview or validation message, because a system overview cannot establish whether an older profile image is reused.
• Retain the uncropped photograph and a clean signature scan while checking the portal. Source originals let you respond to a new pixel canvas or lower ceiling without recompressing a 50 KB compatibility export and losing detail twice.
